Our Decaf Piñon Coffee is crafted using the Mountain Water Process, a clean, chemical-free method developed by Descamex. This innovative process uses pure water from Pico de Orizaba, the tallest mountain in Mexico, to gently remove caffeine while preserving the coffee’s natural flavor.
Here’s how it works:
- The coffee beans are first steamed to prepare for extraction.
- A proprietary water solution—containing all the compounds of coffee except caffeine—is used to naturally draw out the caffeine.
- Finally, the beans are carefully dried using a triple-drying method to lock in their rich, smooth taste.
